Competition Committee

Competitions (Recreational)
All Manitoba curlers may enter the Open Bonspiels that are conducted by CurlManitoba. However, when these events provide entry into Provincial Championship competitions, only ELIGIBLE teams may advance. CurlManitoba Open Bonspiels are held in Winnipeg (and area) clubs. They include:
- Christmas Junior Men & Junior Women and Christmas Youth (Open)
- MCA Men’s Bonspiel
- CurlManitoba Women’s Bonspiel
- 8-Ender Youth Jamboree and Championship
Competitions (Championships)
In order to compete as a Manitoba representative to a recognized National Championship, curlers must be a member of a CurlManitoba-affiliated curling club. (The exception is the Junior Championship. It recognizes teams made up of four students registered at the same school). CurlManitoba competitions which lead to National Championships include:
- Canola Junior Men, and Canola Junior Women's
- Safeway Championship and Scotties Tournament of Hearts (require CCA competitor card)
- Strathcona Senior Men and Tim Hortons Senior Women (require CCA competitor card)
- Manitoba’s Credit Unions Masters Men and Masters Women (require CurlManitoba Masters competitor card)
- Chicken Chef Mixed (requires CCA competitor card)

Competitor Cards
A CCA competitor card must be purchased by a team (Four members) prior to regional playdowns and berth bonspiels. At Bonspiels with a Berth cards must be purchased immediately after being awarded the Provincial Berth. A CurlManitoba Masters Card is only needed if the curler does not have a CCA competitor card.
CCA competitor card costs $40.00 .
CurlManitoba Masters card costs $15.00
NOTE: Junior Men and Junior Women are exempt from competitor card fees.
You do not need to purchase cards prior to any bonspiel with a berth. Only the team accepting the berth into the Provincials will have to purchase the card after the event. The bonspiels with a berth are the following:

Cards can be purchased at CurlManitoba by phone or in person or ask for them at your local curling club.
