Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of CurlManitoba will be held Saturday, June 4th at the Heather Curling Club, 120 Youville Street Winnipeg Manitoba. Please note the location has been changed due to construction at the Sport for Life Building.

The meeting will commence immediately following the Parade of Champions and will continue until the annual business of the Association has been completed

First registration begins at 9:30am

Membership Session at 10:00am – Open to the public and include:

  • Review of the CurlManitoba constitutional changes
  • Review of CurlManitoba affiliation / membership changes
  • Presentation on Curling for Life Endowment Fund

Lunch will be served from 12 to 12:45,

Second registration period will occur from 12:45pm to 1:00pm

Parade of Champions to occur at 1:00pm. Join us as we honour our 2011 Provincial, National and World Champions.

Meeting to follow immediately after.

While all members may attend and participate in the discussion only pre-registered accredited Delegates may vote on resolutions and Board of Director elections.

At the CurlManitoba Annual General meeting on Saturday June 4, 2011 elections will be held to fill 4 spots on the CurlManitoba Board of Directors.  All four (4) of the spots are member at large spots.

Notices of Motion

Notice of proposed Constitutional and Bylaw Amendments to be voted on at the Annual General Meeting on June 4th, 2011.

The Board of Governors has approved amendments to the Manitoba Curling Association Inc Constitution and Bylaws.  These amendments will be presented to the Members for approval at the AGM.

Notice of Motion #1

Whereas the Manitoba Curling Association has under gone a Constitutional and Bylaw review, and this review has resulted in multiple amendments of the Manitoba Curling Association Constitution and Bylaws.

Be it resolved that effective immediately at the 2011 Annual General Meeting that the proposed changes to the Constitution and Bylaws be made and the revised Constitution and Bylaws be adopted.  In ratifying these Bylaws, the Members of the Association repeal all prior Bylaws of the Association provided that such repeal does not impair the validity of any action taken pursuant to the repealed Bylaws.
