Elaine Owen
Long Term Athlete Development is the foundation for the development of the sport of curling in Manitoba.
The Development Coordinator covers the development of all levels of curling from Grass Roots up to High Performance level. This includes rocks and rings, clinics, camps, skill development series, the road show and the performance enhancement program. The position pertains to any matter to do with rules, Long Term Athlete Development, Manitoba Games and Canada Games. The position oversees the officiating of any CurlManitoba Event.
I have curled both competitively and recreationally for 4 decades and have coached for 27 years. I believe that coaching is a huge responsibility, not to be taken lightly or for granted.
