Canad Inns is proud to present the 2012 Canad Inns Prairie Classic being held at Canad Inns Destination Centre Portage la Prairie on Friday October 19th to Monday October 22nd.
32 world class curling teams will compete in the triple knockout event for the $ 58,000 purse. The Canad Inns Prairie Classic will have teams from Canada (Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Newfoundland), the USA, China, Sweden, and Scotland.

"This year’s line up includes Jeff Stoughton, 1996 and 2011 World Champion, Kevin Koe, 2010 World Champion, Glenn Howard, 2007 and 2012 World Champion, Brad Gushue, 2006 Olympic Gold Medal Winner, and Kevin Martin, 2008 World Champion and 2010 Olympic Gold Medal Winner. “I encourage everyone to purchase their tickets early, as the Canad Inns Prairie Classic will be one of the most exciting and entertaining curling bonspiels in Manitoba this year.”
In addition, two-time defending champion Mike McEwen will be looking to repeat as 2012 Canad Inns Prairie Curling Classic winners against teams from Canada, China, USA, Sweden (Team Edin), and Scotland (Team Brewster).
Draws will take place at 10 am, 1:30 pm, 5 pm and 8:30 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Playoffs are at 10 am, 2 pm and 6 pm on Monday. Shaw Cable will broadcast the semi-finals and final games over their Winnipeg network which includes Portage, Selkirk, Beausejour, Ile Des Chenes, Lorette, Niverville, St. Adolphe, St.Pierre, Steinbach, Stonewall, Teulon, Headingley and St. Eustache.
Tickets for the Canad Inns Prairie Classic are available for $5.00 for draw passes, $10.00 for day passes and $20.00 for weekend passes, with proceeds going to the Portage la Prairie Curling Club.
