FAQ's
1) 20 draws in total
2) no back to back games in the first 13 draws, any back to back games after this will occur in the same club
3) Headquarters will be located at Canad Inns Polo Park
4) Draw will be set up at Headquarters
5) Headquarters phone number is 784-5100
6) Draw Times
- Thursday at 6pm and 9pm
- Friday at 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm
- Saturday at 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm
- Sunday at 9am, 12pm, 4pm, 7pm
- Monday at 9am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm
7) Finals will take place at the Grain Ex, Elmwood and Charleswood
8) Opening Ceremonies will take place at the Club TBD at 5pm Thursday, January 20, 2011
9) A complete blank draw in Excel format will be uploaded onto curlmanitoba.org in late January
10) Each draw with names will be uploaded in a pdf format at the end of each draw in time for the next draw
11) guaranteed 5 berths into the Safeway Championship, 2 from the First Event, 1 from the Safeway Lucerne and 1 from the Winnipeg Free Press
12) 6 games guaranteed
13) All games 8 ends
Tips for the Bonspiel
1) When phoning the Information number, have one member of the team do the phoning and have him contact the rest of the team.
2)Have a contact number on your entry that is available to the team during the bonspiel.
3) If the team is to have back to back games, the games will be in the same club.
4) If the team plays in the last draw of the day and plays on the first draw in the morning, the team will be informed of this by bonspiel staff.
5) Any changes to player personnel, CCA numbers or contact information, call 784-5100 before the bonspiel starts.
6) If a team starts on Draw 1, they will be playing in draws 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11. Conversely, if a team starts on Draw 2, they will be playing in draws 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12
EVENTS : 2 Free Press and 3 Safeway-Lucerne
Draws 13 to 17 (SUNDAY) is when there could be a possibility of back to back games. The team will be informed by the umpire of the club they are playing at or by telephone from Bonspiel Headquarters.
Draws 18 to 20 (Monday) most events have back to back games but they will be at different clubs
