The thirty two (32) teams in the Provincial Championship shall be:
The winning team for the Zone Playdowns in the fourteen (14) rural zones (numbered 1- 14), and the seven (7) Winnipeg Zones (numbered 15 - 21). and Three berths from Berth Bonspiels, one from each of:
i.the bonspiel designated for the Southern floating berth
ii.the bonspiel designated for the Northern floating berth
iii.the Brandon Men's Bonspiel
The prior year's Manitoba Champion and Manitoba Curling Tour Champion subject to:
i.the team comprises at least 3 of the 4 members of the previous year's championship team, and ii.the teams must declare in writing by November 1st of the year they win the Provincial title their intention to utilize this entry into the Provincial Championship.iii.In order to remain eligible for the Manitoba Champions Berth and the Manitoba Curling Tour Berth, all 4 players must meet the eligibility requirements in the year of the championship. The top Manitoba team on the Canadian Team Ranking System, subject to the terms approved by the CURL MANITOBA Board of Directors, October 2004.
Eight (8) teams who win berths in the MCA Bonspiel subject to:
If the prior year's Manitoba Champion and Manitoba Curling Tour Champion gains direct entry from (c) above AND if a team gains direct entry as the top ranked Manitoba –CTRS team from (d) above, then five (5) teams shall gain entry through the MCA Bonspiel providing they satisfy the eligibility requirements.Refer to CURL MANITOBA Bonspiel rules for berth policies.

Format:
The Safeway Provincial Championship shall be a thirty two (32) team modified double knockout draw. Eight (8) teams advancing to a semi modified double knockout qualifying round with four (4) teams advancing to the Safeway Four Championship page playoff round.
For the Provincial Championship, all 32 teams will be ranked and seeded into the standard draw format (#1 vs #32, #2 vs #31, #3 vs #30, etc)
