Qualifying Events

CurlManitoba Provincial Qualifying Events

Below is the qualification list of all eleven Provincial Championships. Teams must be fully eligible to earn a berth into a CurlManitoba Provincial Championship. Please visit the CurlManitoba Rule Book for a full list of eligibility requirements. Below the qualification list are the dates and locations of all CurlManitoba Provincial Qualifying events.

Canola Junior Provincial Championship
The sixteen (16) teams in the Provincial Championship shall be:
Number 1-7        Sport Region Berth: Norman-1 berth, Parkland-1 berth, Westman-1 berth, Central-1 berth, Interlake-1 berth, Winnipeg-1 berth
Number 8-10     awarded to the sport regions based  upon participation ratio-3 berths
Number 11-12   Earl Bird Berth Spiel-2 berths
Number 13-14   Junior Berth Bonspiel-2 berths
Number 15-16   2011 8-Ender Christmas Junior Bonspiel-2 berths

Scotties Tournament of Hearts
The sixteen (16) teams in the Provincial Championship shall be:
Number 1-8        Sport Region Berth: Norman-1 berth, Parkland-1 berth, Westman-1 berth, Central-1 berth, Eastman-1 berth, Interlake-1 berth, Winnipeg- 2 berths
Number 9-11     awarded to the sport regions based upon participation ratio-3 berths
Number 12-13   Scotties Berth Bonspiel-2 berths
Number 14       CTRS Points Leader from Manitoba-1 berth
Number 15       The Manitoba Curling Tour highest ranked team at the conclusion of the MCT Championship-1 berth
Number 16       STOH Defending Champion from previous year-1 berth

Safeway Championship
The thirty two (32) teams in the Provincial Championship shall be:
Number 1-17     Sport Region Berth: Norman-2 berths, Parkland-2 berths, Westman-3 berths, Central-2 berths, Eastman-2 berths, Interlake-2 berths, Winnipeg-4 berths
Number 18       awarded to the sport regions based upon participation ratio-1 berth

Number 21       Brandon Men’s Bonspiel-1 berth
Number 22       MCT Event Winner: 2011-2012 Event will be the King Spud Classic in Carberry, MB.-1 berth
Number 23       MCT Champion-1 berth
Number 24       CTRS Points Leader from Manitoba-1 berth
Number 25-26   MCT highest ranked teams at the conclusion of the MCT Championship-2 berths
Number 27       Safeway Prov. Champion from previous season-1 berth
Number 28-32   MCA Bonspiel-5 berths

Tim Horton’s Senior Women’s Provincial Championship
The twelve (12) teams in the Provincial Championship shall be:
Number 1-7        Sport Region Berth: Norman-1 berth, Parkland-1 berth, Westman-1 berth, Central-1 berth, Eastman-1 berth, Interlake-1 berth, Winnipeg-1 berth
Number 8-9        awarded to the sport regions based upon participation ratio-2 berths
Number 10-11     Senior Women’s Berth-2 berths
Number 12         Defending champion from previous season-1 berth

Strathcona Senior Men’s Provincial Championship
The sixteen (16) teams in the Provincial Championship shall be:
Number 1-13     Sport Region Berth: Norman-1 berth, Parkland-1 berth, Westman-2 berths, Central-2 berths, Eastman-1 berth, Interlake-2 berths, Winnipeg-4 berths
Number 14         awarded to the sport regions based upon participation ratio-1 berth
Number 15         McDiarmid Lumber Bonspiel Champion-1 berth
Number 16         Strathcona Berth Bonspiel Champion-1 berth

Manitoba Credit Unions Master Women's Provincial Championship

Manitoba Credit Unions Master Men's Provincial Championship
The sixteen (16) teams in the Provincial Championship shall be:
Number 1-12     Sport Region Berth: Norman-1 berth, Parkland-1 berth, Westman-2 berths, Central-2 berths, Eastman-1 berth, Interlake-1 berth, Winnipeg-4 berths
Number 13-14    awarded to the sport regions based upon participation ratio-1 berth
Number 15        Brandon Men’s Bonspiel Champion-1 berth
Number 16        Chicken Chef Bonspiel Champion-1 berth

Chicken Chef Mixed Championship
The sixteen (16) teams in the Provincial Championship shall be:
Number 1-7        Berth Bonspiels to be held in the Norman, Central and Eastman/Interlake regions on the same weekend.
                        Berths based on participation ratio
Number 8-15       Berth Bonspiels to be held in Winnipeg, Westman/Parkland Regions on the same weekend.
                        Berths based on participation ratio
Number 16         Defending Provincial Champion from previous season.

Dominion Club Championship
The eight (8) teams in the Provincial Championship shall be:
Number 1-7        Sport Region: Norman-1 berth, Parkland-1 berth, Westman-1 berth, Central-1 berth, Eastman-1 berth, Winnipeg-1 berth
Number 8           Host Region gets one additional berth-1 berth
