 Posted 2009-11-19Team Breanne Meakin (St.Vital) and Team Alyssa Vandepoele (Ste. Anne) have both qualified to the Provincial Junior Women’s Championship will be held at the Charleswood Curling by berths through the Curl Manitoba – Petersfield Curling Club Junior Women’s Berth Bonspiel.
Meakin earned her way into the Provincials by defeating Meghan Armit (Stonewall) 7-6 in the first semi-final while Vandepoele got by Shannon Birchard (Pembina) 10-9 in the other semi-final. Meakin won her quarter-final matchup by defeating Lindsay Robertson (Fort Rouge) 5-3 while Vandepoele beat Kate Cameron (Victoria) 9-2 in her quarter-final.
Team Meakin is made up of Skip Breanne Meakin, Third Briane Meilleur, Second Mariah Mondor, and Lead Krysten Karwacki.
Team Vandepoele consits of Skip Alyssa Vandepoele, Third Selena Kaatz, Second Kristin Maccuish, and Lead Lindsay Baldock.
The Provincial Women’s Championship will be held at the Charleswood Curling Club in Winnipeg, December 18 – 22.
