Elaine Jones-St.Vital Wins the 2010 Manitoba's Credit Unions Masters Womens Provincials

At the 2010 Manitoba’s Credit Union Master’s Women’s Provincials, Elaine Jones-St.Vital defeated Karen Toderian-Dauphin 5-3 in eight ends to capture the Provincial Championship.

Jones earned her spot in the final by defeating Karen Toderian-Dauphin 5-4 in the 1 vs. 1 page playoff. Toderian had defeated Pam Wiwcharuk-Snow Lake 8-5 in the semi-final earlier in the day to earn her berth to the final.

Jones had a perfect 9-0 record at the Provincial Championship and is the defending champion from 2009 and this is her sixth overall Masters Championship, most all time for a skip.

Team Jones is made up of Skip Elaine Jones, Third Anne Wright, Second Pat Malanchuk, and Lead Ruth Wiebe. They will represent Manitoba at the 2010 Canadian Open Masters in St.John's, New Brunswick March 28 to April 2.
