Curl Manitoba is here to work with all curling athletes and coaches throughout Manitoba.
"EVERY ATHLETE DESERVES A CERTIFIED COACH"
Certification for a coach comprises of three components.
- Technical Course Completion
- Practical Requirement Completion
- Theory Completion
Component One: Technical Development
| Club Coach (Level One) |
12-hour course Provides the skills necessary to coach or instruct the entry athlete player |
| Competition Coach (Level Two) |
16-hour course Provides the information necessary to detect and correct delivery & sweeping technique |
| Level Three | 20-hour course This course provides technical, tactical & coaching Techniques for competitive athletes and teams Pre-requisite of Level Two Technical required. |
Component Two: Practical
The practical component of certification is obtained by completing and submitting the workbooks provided for Club Coach. Competition Coach requires an on ice practice evaluation. Level 3 requires a high performance team based workbook to be evaluted as well as an on ice practice evaluation.Component Three: Theory
